Shindico is pleased to announce that the Reenders Drive extension opened to traffic today, Thursday, December 3, 2015. The new road extension, located in front of Shindico’s Shops of Kildonan Mile development, is part of a multi-million dollar investment in infrastructure in West Transcona. Four lanes are now completed on Reenders Drive, extending the road from Stapon Road to Peguis Street. A further two lanes will be constructed in 2016. LDS (Land drainage system) has also been installed, sufficient to serve the road, and adjacent developments.

BOMA BEST^® is the Canadian industry standard for commercial building sustainability certification and the only certification program of its kind in Canada.

Grant Park Pavilions, a mixed-use development featuring retail, office, and high-rise residential, is under way. The centre’s first occupant, Walmart Supercentre, recently opened. Adjacent to Winnipeg’s first lifestyle centre, Grant Park Festival, Grant Park Pavilions is a welcome addition to the area in a great infill location.

WINNIPEG, MANITOBA – In the year 1975, the population of the world was 4.066 billion, the technology giant “Microsoft” was founded, the greatest boxing match of the 20th century took place between Muhammed Ali and Joe Frazier, Stephen Spielberg’s “Jaws” was released, the Vietnam War came to an end, and most importantly, it was the year that Shindico was born. On February 7th 2015, Shindico celebrated their 10 year anniversary in their corporate headquarters at 1355 Taylor Avenue - a 20,000 square foot green building designed to LEED standards.  The building was awarded a Crystal Achievement Award for the most innovative glass design in a LEED building in North America.  We are proud to have created a healthy work environment that provides clean air, and a smoke-free property and has resulted in increased productivity and health benefits for our employees and tenants.
