Sandy Shindleman

Sandy G. Shindleman CCIM, SIOR, CIPS, RICS
President and CEO

Since 1975, Sandy has lived his mission statement “Succeeding by helping others succeed”.

Sandy has completed over seven million square feet of development and has two million square feet in advanced planning stages.

Sandy holds the CCIM (CCIM Institute), SIOR (Society of Industrial and Office Realtors), CIPS (Certified International Property Specialist) and RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) designations and is a member of ARES (American Real Estate Society).  Since 1980, he has been a senior instructor for the CCIM Institute and is currently Vice-Chair of the Faculty Subcommittee.  He has traveled throughout Canada, the United States, Europe and Asia on behalf of the CCIM Institute.

A past recipient of the “Entrepreneur of the Year” award, he has lectured and appeared on panels for several international forums, universities and colleges globally.

Sandy is the founder of StorageVille Inc., a self-storage company and of Bridgemer Investment Properties Ltd., (Zurich, Switzerland), an investment advisory firm.  He is advisor and partner with several respected Canadian Pension Funds.

Sandy is also a founding partner in the Winnipeg Goldeyes Baseball Club’s Canwest Park in Winnipeg.

Shindico's head office has been built with “LEED principles” to be a sustainable and energy efficient work environment.

The Shindleman Aquatic Centre opened in Sandy’s home town of Portage la Prairie in 2010.

Robert W. Shindleman is the Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer of the Shindico Group of Companies.

For 25 years Robert's focus has been in development, operations and management. Robert's expertise includes identifying opportunities, acquisition, overseeing construction and asset management activities.

Robert has been instrumental in the establishment of the group's high standards and he is well versed with the varied requirements of owners, investors and tenants. Robert has a track-record of delivering exceptional results and creating the excellent relationships Shindico enjoys with clients.

Robert is a founder in StorageVille Inc., a self-storage company, and a partner in Bridgemer Investment Properties Ltd., headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland.

Bob Downs

Bob has more than thirty-five years experience in property and business development in a variety of industries including logistics, technology, and for over ten years, at Shindico.

In addition to his development efforts, Bob has been active in the community as a member of the Zoning Advisory Committee that advised City of Winnipeg staff and third party consultants rewriting the city’s new zoning bylaw 200/06 and also with the Manitoba Energy Code Advisory Committee developing key recommendations for the Province for a new energy code for commercial buildings.

Bob’s experience with the latest in building techniques—as demonstrated by his recent efforts in developing Shindico’s new head office building on Taylor Avenue and the Credit Union Central of Manitoba building on Donald Street—has proven invaluable to clients. These latest features form the basis for RFP’s issued on behalf of clients.

Bob’s strong analytical and interpersonal skills are also key to Bob succeeding by helping others succeed.

 
John Pearson

John Pearson graduated with a B.Sc. from the U of W in 1979 and a Masters Degree, MNRM - (Land Development) in 1982 from the U of M.  John resided in Houston, TX for three years from 1982 – 1985.  John returned to Winnipeg and became a real estate agent in 1985 and a Real Broker in 1991.  He joined Shindico in July 1993.  In the last 10 years, John has completed over $100 M in sales and approximately 3 M sq. ft. of building area in leases. 

John has developed numerous relationships / mandates with prominent national/international clients:  a)  Retail:  Home Depot, Staples, Walmart, Best Buy / Future Shop, Dufresne / Ashley Furniture, Pro Hockey Life; b)  Restaurant:  Swiss Chalet, Montana’s, Kelsey’s, Original Joe’s, Baton Rouge; c) Industrial:   Direct Integrated Transportation, Brewers Distributors, Dufresne Furniture, Vitran Express, Cormer Group; d)  Office:   Wawanesa Insurance, Stantec Engineering, Tapper Cuddy, Dufresne Furniture, Faneuil ISG Call Centre, MS Society, Dillon Consulting, Staples Call Centre

The Winnipeg Realtors Commercial Division presented John with the "Highest Dollar Value Award” (sale of 221,000 sq. ft. retail shopping centre) in 2006, and the “Largest Industrial Lease” (193,000 sq. ft. distribution centre) in 2008.

John has personally coordinated the development process and leasing of “Regional Retail Power Centres” totaling approximately 2.8 Million square feet, including such centres as:  Corral Centre, Brandon; Crossroads Station, Winnipeg; St. James Station, Winnipeg; Selkirk Crossing, Selkirk; Winkler Crossing, Winkler; Sault Centre, Sault Ste. Marie and Harbour Crossing, Thunder Bay.

Michael Stronger graduated with an honours’ degree in Arts from the University of Winnipeg in 1997. He joined Shindico that same year.

Michael specializes in retail sales, leasing, development and tenant representation.  He is actively representing Starbucks, Dollarama, Hakim Optical, Tan FX and other prominent companies in the Manitoba Marketplace.

Michael served as Vice-Chair of the Winnipeg Realtors Commercial Division in 2009.

 In 2006, 2008 and 2009, Michael received the "Most Completed Transactions by Individual" award from the Winnipeg Realtors Commercial Division.

Born and raised in Winnipeg Harry DeLeeuw entered the real estate industry in 1970.  

Harry was a co-founder and managing partner of the largest independent real estate company in Winnipeg, DELBRO Real Estate, which was involved in residential, commercial, property management and development.

 He is currently Director for Network Development for Ambiente Homes Canada, an international company manufacturing affordable composite homes.

Specializing in Investment Sales, Harry's expertise also includes: commercial, industrial and residential properties as well as relocation, site analysis and feasibility studies.

Ian Corbett is a Commercial Real Estate professional and associate broker. Ian quickly established himself as a "Top Producer" since joining a national commercial firm, winning awards in 1988 and again in 1990, 1997 and 2001.

Ian managed the brokerage operation from 1992-1996 before returning to focus all his energy on his sales career. Ian has consistently achieved awards for high sales achievement every year since returning to the sales field.
